Renewals Team Leader

  • Be the point of contact for any issues emerging from the Renewals team and assist in resolving them.
  • Regularly review team statistics and raise any issues to the Sales Manager.
  • Regularly liaise with the Sales Manager providing information regarding individuals’ performance status.
  • Assist the Sales Manager in planning resource allocation and cover.
  • Act as a mentor to new starters and provide adequate on-the-job training across the team when necessary.
  • Assist the Sales Manager in the agenda-setting and running of team meetings.
  • Call existing customers and pro-actively chase any outstanding renewal matters. 
  • Produce accurate renewals quotes and once accepted liaise with Order Processing as necessary.
  • Understand all relevant renewals processes and apply them as appropriate.
  • Work with the Internal and External Account Managers to win new support contracts.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers.
  • Prepare and submit relevant necessary documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage and update relevant data using the internal sales database (Siebel).
  • Identify opportunities within existing accounts and liaise with the Sales Manager for action.
  • Provide an up-to-date and accurate weekly/monthly forecast.
  • Keep the Account Managers up-to-date on the progress of the accounts and with any issues that may arise. 
  • Manage team KPIs.
  • Perform against the targets set on the individual compensation plan.
  • Exhibit the right behaviour and attitude that is expected in a high achieving and performing sales organisation.
  • Strong communication skills, with a good telephone manner.
  • Knowledge & understanding of margin retention.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • Ability to act as a mentor and provide guidance to others.
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise.
  • Ability to confidently build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to identify potential opportunities.
  • Previous experience in a renewals and sales environment.
  • Able to take accountability for actions and team performance.
  • Balances directness with motivation.
