Business Development Executive

  • Create meetings within existing and new accounts for the external sales teams
  • Profile major accounts to ensure correct mapping
    • Identify C level contacts
    • Identify purchasers
    • Identify key influencers
  • Assist with the co-ordination of customer events and help drive attendance at said events.
  • Drive marketing and vendor messaging into major accounts
    • Work Greenfield / New Logo accounts during focus proactive callouts
  • Establish potential opportunities for external sales teams.
  • Update and maintain the marketing database.
  • Manage Siebel data for allocated accounts.
  • Establish and develop ongoing and professional relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Assist with the preparation of telemarketing reports.
  • Arrange for the sending of appropriate introductory letters and sales literature.
  • Carry out any other duties as may be commensurate / applicable to this position.
  • Meet measurable KPIs:
    • Number of calls – minimum of 150 per week
    • Number of appointments – target of 15 per week
    • Ensuring all contacts are called regarding marketing campaigns
  • Strong communication skills, with a good telephone manner.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to confidently build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to identify potential sales opportunities.
  • Previous experience in a business development and/or sales environment.
  • Experience in the IT security sector is a major advantage.
