Business Development Executive

- Create meetings within existing and new accounts for the external sales teams
- Profile major accounts to ensure correct mapping
- Identify C level contacts
- Identify purchasers
- Identify key influencers
- Assist with the co-ordination of customer events and help drive attendance at said events.
- Drive marketing and vendor messaging into major accounts
- Work Greenfield / New Logo accounts during focus proactive callouts
- Establish potential opportunities for external sales teams.
- Update and maintain the marketing database.
- Manage Siebel data for allocated accounts.
- Establish and develop ongoing and professional relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Assist with the preparation of telemarketing reports.
- Arrange for the sending of appropriate introductory letters and sales literature.
- Carry out any other duties as may be commensurate / applicable to this position.
- Meet measurable KPIs:
- Number of calls – minimum of 150 per week
- Number of appointments – target of 15 per week
- Ensuring all contacts are called regarding marketing campaigns
- Strong communication skills, with a good telephone manner.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to confidently build relationships at all levels.
- Ability to identify potential sales opportunities.
- Previous experience in a business development and/or sales environment.
- Experience in the IT security sector is a major advantage.
